The downtown section of Midlothian, Texas, is a historic and picturesque neighborhood. Midlothian Heritage Square is the focal point of the downtown area; it's a nicely designed park with a gazebo, playground, and walking route. The old Midlothian Train Depot, which is on the Square, has been transformed into a museum showcasing the region's past.

Midlothian's downtown features a wide selection of unique stores. At these shops, tourists can shop for a wide variety of goods, including apparel, jewelry, home accessories, presents, and more. Popular local retailers include The Blue Door and The Village Boutique.

Restaurants and cafes serving a wide variety of cuisines may be found in the downtown area as well. There are a number of great cafes in the area, including the Midlo Bistro, The Iron Skillet, and many others. The area also features numerous cafes and ice cream parlors, where guests can enjoy a caffeinated beverage or cold treat.

Midlothian local area attractions are Hawaiian Falls, Joe Pool Lake, Global Life Field, AT & T Stadium, Six Flags Over Texas and  if you are a golfer there are 3 local golf courses close by.
